Free Swimming - A Short Story

I had a vivid dream this morning, and while I had no control over the events, they were both sad, uplifting and inspired me to write down the notes about it lest I forget. It may be nothing more than a short story.

I've called it Free Swimming and it involves regrets and devolution.

I have written the opening chapter already. I intend the story to happen over a weekend, with each chapter lasting an hour's real time. If you work on the assumption that people read a page in two minutes, each chapter should be thirty pages long.

Lets see.

A Burst of Writing Due?

I still havent found a passion to write again, I guess there are too many things I want to do but cant thats stopping me from thinking about writing.

It doesnt help that at work we dont have access to Dropbox where all my writing files are kept, and I dont fancy converting all the work to Google DOCS just to be able to edit them on the go.

As previously mentioned, I prefer reading and writing with a pen and paper and only committing the document to computer more as an updating of the file rather than anything creative.

I have an opportunity to have a month to myself so I intend to have something written just to say I wrote something in 2014. It also doesnt help that I drive to work and the 45 minutes each way is lost time that if I commuted by train would be a about 2 hours a day to read, write, and listen to music. I am currently job hunting and will give preference to a London rather than Kent commute.
